Obligatory Election Post

If you're over the politics that's fine, I get it, ignore this post. I will say, this is not about politics, this is about civil rights. I've been through a lot of down and up since Tuesday and it's amazing how much I've learned about myself and other people in that time. I'm grateful for my ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. I'm grateful that most of the time I am able to stay level headed and stay open minded.

Fountain pens? That's too fancy... 

Happy Fountain Pen Day! I find it truly ironic that I had no idea it was today and I got my first fountain pen YESTERDAY! The universe is so funny and awesome. I decided to give my thoughts on fountain pens. I'm a beginner and had huge misconceptions about them. I'm not an expert trying to bullshit you into buying stuff from my store. Preliminary Review: Leuchtturm1917

I was originally going to wait until January to start in a Leuchtturm, but I started realizing that some of my brush pens (particularly Tombows) did some weird stuff with the paper in my Moleskine. So although I'm a hearty 60 pages into my Moleskine I decided it would be a good investment to get a Leuchtturm. I even decided to do my Leuchtturm collection in rainbow! I can't wait to have a collection on a shelf... I guess I need to invest in a shelf!

Do you have someone in your life like this?

Today for the #rockyourhandwriting challenge the prompt is 'Your favorite paper'. I'm not big into stationary (yet?!) and I'm not real good with artistic things that require good paper. My mind immediately went to origami. Origami is a huge hobby of mine -- it waxes and wanes -- but it's always in my heart and my brain remembers the 'language' as soon as I have a piece of paper in my hands.
